  • Dubia roaches are easier for dragons to digest than other feeder insects.
  • Dubia roaches are rich in lean protein, calcium, and essential amino acids, supporting muscle growth, energy, and overall health.

Dubia roaches can hold three times their weight in food, making them ideal for gut-loading. With a variety of growth stages, there’s always a right size roach for your dragon!

They’re quiet, clean, and don’t bite. They don’t stink like many other feeders. And they can’t easily escape. All of which makes things a little easier for you!

Gut-Loaded Dubia Roaches with Premium Feeds

1. Enhanced Nutritional Value

Premium gut-load feeds are rich in essential nutrients like calcium, protein, and vitamins (especially A, D3, and E). When roaches consume these before being fed to reptiles, they pass on these nutrients, helping support your pet’s:

  • Bone health (via calcium & vitamin D3)
  • Growth and development
  • Immune system

2.) Improved Reptile Health

Reptiles that eat nutrient-dense Live Dubia roaches are less likely to suffer from deficiencies such as metabolic bone disease, a common issue in lizards like bearded dragons and geckos.

3.) Better Digestion

Premium gut-loads often contain natural fibers and probiotics that help balance the gut flora of the roaches. This can also support better digestion in reptiles.

4.) Increased Hydration

High-quality gut-load feeds often contain fresh produce or moisture-rich ingredients, which increase water content in the roaches — a vital hydration source for reptiles that may not drink from a bowl.

5.) Higher Energy for Active Reptiles

Live Dubia Roaches are richer in carbs and fats, providing more energy — especially beneficial for active or breeding reptiles.

They were some of the smallest I've ever gotten from you!! There were so many tiny ones in there the lizard has ate over half of what I bought already. I was very disappointed

Normally we have had a great experience with dubia roaches but we got the medium sized this time and we got so many babies and smaller roaches than we ever have this time. It was terrible. I'm really disappointed!!

All of my roaches arrived dead…

My last 2 deliveries have been completely dead. I took pics and sent email but heard nothing from you. I have one arriving tomorrow but pretty sure it will be dead so I have cancelled my subscription and find reptile food elsewhere. 😡

I received my order on Friday from USPS. The box was all beat up and the carrier had been walking with the box upside down as he was bringing it to my front door. I’m not including the video for their privacy. I noticed that during shipping the package was transferred to UPS first where they had placed a sticker over something that this company placed on the box. I’m not sure if it was a live insect sticker or what but judging from the lack of response from this company I guess not. I ordered 25 and had 10 dead on arrival with the container turned upside in the box. I reached out to the company the same day and got no response. I reached out to USPS and they could not do anything as there was no insurance on the package. I cannot contact UPS myself since there is no package for them to examine and the seller will have to make a claim. I called the company again on Monday and left a voicemail and never received a call back. It’s now Tuesday and still nothing. I’ll be calling my bank since I can’t seem to get there attention.

Roaches were great and in good condition. No heating pad I purchased in packaging. And worms were dead and decaying.

A Happy Dragon is a Chubby Dragon!

I’ve signed up for the weekly subscription and have not been disappointed! I get 50 Lrg once a week for my beardie Astrid. I give her some when they first arrive, and any that she doesn’t eat, I’m able to store in a small tub for later. The extras are SUPER easy to keep alive, especially compared to crickets. They eat the same stuff she does so I don’t need to worry about extra food prep.
I receive very few casualties in my orders, and they are shipped with some carrot scraps so they are sure to be stuffed when they get to us.
I put off doing this sort of thing for a loooong time. But after doing so I wish I had done so sooner. It definitely beats going to a pet store 45 minutes away, every week.
Would recommend to anyone with a insect eating critter who doesn’t have the time/patience for crickets!!!

Thank you, Kylen for your review. I am glad to hear that you loved your purchase. We appreciate your kind words. Astrid is beautiful! If we can ever assist you in any way, please send us an email. We are happy to help in any way. Thank you for being our valued customer!

Happy Dragon

My dragon gets so excited when I shake the can for the dusted roaches. I have to move him out of the way of his bowl. So it takes them longer to try and escape.

HOW TO KEEP DUBIA ROACHES: A FEW QUICK TIPS

If you’re looking for a low-maintenance feeder insect, you just can’t beat Dubia roaches! Here’s a quick look at how to keep them safe and healthy for your bearded dragon to enjoy.

WHERE TO KEEP DUBIA ROACHES

  • Store them in a solid colored airtight plastic bin (they like it dark). Make sure the sides of your bin are smooth so they can’t crawl out.
  • Place the bottoms of egg cartons vertically in the bin to give them a place to crawl around. Keep the cartons a few inches away from the top of the bin.

HOW TO KEEP DUBIA ROACHES

  • For roaches that are already the size you want, keep the temperature between 50 and 60 degrees Fahrenheit.
  • To encourage growth, keep the temperature close to 90 degrees Fahrenheit.
  • You’ll only need a heater if you are keeping your roaches in a cold garage or basement, or another place that will be less than 50 degrees Fahrenheit.

WHAT TO FEED DUBIA ROACHES

  • Every other day, offer roach chow and large fruit and veggie slices in a shallow feeding dish.
  • Never offer cat food, dog food, meat, or rotten food (mold will kill them).
  • Clean out uneaten food every day or two.
  • Avoid using a water bowl since roaches drown easily. Instead, use water crystals or gel, or hydrate with fruits and veggies.
